The band will have their last in-school concert on April 30 at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. They will be playing a selection of songs. This has always been something special for the seniors; to recognize them and their parents on the last school concert. The marching band will also be with the choir department and the art department.
“This has been good band season and I will miss the seniors,” sophomore Samantha Villarreal said.
Later on May 22 they will have another show for next school year’s marching band with the eigth graders at Heroes Stadium. This will be a good example of what marching band is doing throughout the year. The final school band concert for the year will be at graduation.
“The seniors leaving is going to affect my life in a good way since I’m going to miss them, but I’m sure they will succeed in life,” sophomore Alexandra Pitty said.
The art department will show their annual artwork exhibit “An Evening with TR artists.” This artwork exhibit will include drawing, painting and a sculpture on from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. outside the auditorium. Choir will also be doing a performance before the last spring band concert at 6:30 p.m.
“Everybody should go because it will be amazing ,” sophomore Javier Briseno, said.
This is a great opportunity for students to enjoy other students’ artwork, hear them sing and hear them play.
