In addition to the district champion computer science team, several other individual students placed in the top three in their UIL Academic Competition, earning a spot at region this weekend.

“I’m really excited to be going to regionals and really proud of myself for being able to place,” freshman S. Adams said.
Adams placed second in Feature Writing on the Journalism Team. Sophomore Cheyenne Crawford placed first in spelling and vocabulary, earning herself a spot in Region for the second consecutive year. Sophomore Aly Miranda placed third in News Writing on the Journalism Team.
” I felt really surprised that I placed because I didn’t place last year,” Miranda said. “I feel really proud to be able to represent Roosevelt at region.”
Regional academic competitions are April 20 at UTSA.
