Playoff season is in – the Roosevelt Rough Riders take on the Steele Knights this Friday at Heroes Stadium.
”This will be the toughest challenge of the year, not because we face the All-State and Texas commit Malcolm Brown, but because it’s the next game on our schedule,” Coach Neal Lahue said.
This will be a rough game for the Riders’ defense as they go up against Brown who has already rushed for 1,736 yards and 19 touchdowns. The Riders are up for the challenge of being one of the stingiest defenses in the region, not giving up more than 250 total yards of offense all year. Also the Riders’ offense is on fire lighting up the score board the last five games, averaging about 25 points per contest.
“I’m very confident in our offense and our big play ability,” Coach Anthony Boykins, Offensive Coordinator, said. Come join the Riders vs. Steele High School at Heroes Stadium at 7:30 for our first bi-district game, and a chance to advance past the first round.
