So far track has had two track meets in which many girls in track have placed. With districts in April, these awards bode well for coach Corey Bedell, who says he is actually very excited for this year’s team and up and coming freshmen. Natasha Kindred finished second in the varsity girls high jump, Kaneshia Moore finished third in the 100 meter hurdles. E’Kara Mitchell finished first in the shot put. Miche’e Brown finished third in 100 meter dash. Ayanna Atkins finished third in discus. JV’s Vanessa Redix finished second in triple jump, second in the high jump and second in the 400 meter dash. Boy and Girl Varsity’s next meet is on Saturday, March 2nd at East Central High school.
