While having healthy skin may not be one of the main priorities, skin care is still very important. Taking care your skin helps lock in moisture and helps fight against infections; a person who has dry and flaky skin is more susceptible to infections than one who takes care of their skin.

Using the right types of soaps and treatments can remove dirt and grime from pores, improve texture, prevent wrinkles, and increases circulation. One of the main problems people find while trying to improve their skin is staying hydrated; staying hydrated benefits not only skin but the entire body. Drinking water gives the skin a younger, radiant, and better looking complexion. Certain people may argue that staying hydrated does not improve skin, but the skin is also an organ without the correct intake of water it will start to get dry and crack.
For people who suffer from natural dry skin dermatologists recommend taking 5 – 10 minute baths or showers, applying moisturizer immediately after, using ointment instead of lotion, and using a humidifier.
For oily skin the recommended way to tackle it is to actually to moisturize skin twice a day, exfoliate once a week, use astringent every other day, and to consult a professional.
For acne one should consult a dermatologist some facial cleansers and remember to always hydrate.
