After 22 years of teaching, DATA physics teacher Alan Gnospelius is set to retire. Gnospelius has taught 16 years at Roosevelt/DATA and six years in two different schools.
“The kids are great here I enjoy seeing them,” Gnospelius said. “We have a wonderful staff, and we always have great administration support.”

Through 22 years of teaching Alan Gnospelius has taught many great students.
“I’m very fortunate to have taught kids that go on to be doctors, science majors, engineers, and of course some teachers,” Gnospelius said. “The most memorable yearly event is when students come back from college and tell me how well and prepared they are, and that’s how I know I’m doing a good job.”
After retirement, Gnospelius will pursue some old and new interests
“I want to travel, and of course I’m going to do some subbing,” Gnospelius said.
He leaves his students with a bit of advice.
“Save up your money, do your homework, and be the best you can be,” Gnospelius said.
