Student council and many other organizations have come together to provide food for school workers this Thanksgiving. Student council has been donating turkey boxes as a tradition for over 29 years and counting. A total of 46 boxes are being prepared for 28 cafeteria workers 18 custodians this Friday.
Each box contains a turkey and canned vegetables, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and the makings for pecan pie. A number of organizations contributed food or money including the senior class, Avid, PALS, the science department, the art department, journalism and more.
HEB donated turkeys and reusable bags for delivery.
“It makes me feel satisfied that STUCO can help custodians and cafeteria workers because they do so much for us on a day to day basic” said student council president. Victoria Hillner.
