The sound of clinking buttons and students’ shouts drift into the hallway. Blasts and fires roar along as students walk through the door. Students are crowed around playing various video games while the students next door enjoy board games. Welcome to the DATA LAN party.
Twice a year DATA has a LAN party. A LAN party is a lock-in for DATA students where everyone plays games, eats and has fun. The first of the two will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4th in the DATA wing.
“We are going to have so much fun. Fun and laughter and eating and sliding down the hallway in your socks,” Statcia FitzSimon, DATA director,
said.
LAN stands for Local Area Network, which is what each classroom becomes so students can play video games.
“It’s a great oppertunity to get together with friends and game,” FitzSimon said.
No matter if students come for the food or for the games, they are sure to have a great time.
