Standing on the sidelines of the playoff cinching game, yearbook photographers are seen dashing in between players, dancers, cheerleaders, band, and JROTC members attempting to catch every moment on film. Yearbook conventions, early morning meetings, and hours of shifting through pictures make up a yearbook staff members year.
“I like working on the yearbook because I enjoy editing the stories, and taking photographs. Also, there is no comparison to the feeling of seeing the years yearbook for the first time. All of the hard work and late nights are suddenly worth it when smiles appear on students faces when they pick up the yearbook in May,” Jacklyn Sullivan, senior, said.
Throughout the year, every staff member dedicates him or herself to certain pages that he or she must gather pictures, names, and information for. Most clubs, organizations, sports, and groups are represented in the yearbook every year.
“The hardest part of being on yearbook staff would have to be keeping up with deadlines and regular school work at the same time, nevertheless I enjoy working in the homely environment and with the unique staff members,” Mark Navarro, senior, said.

With a “brain child” of a theme, “Done It. Said It. Noted. Quoted.,” the staff hopes that the entire campus enjoys the book and all of the hard work put into it. Also, if you wish to submit a secret to the yearbook, as one of the features is showing the individuals of Roosevelt, you can do so anonymously in AS102 on a sheet of paper void of your name, or through the TR Publications page on facebook.
