Six senior varsity football players signed for college football Wednesday morning in the school’s auditorium.
“This doesn’t happen often; usually one or two students get signed,” Coach Matt Carroll said. “It’s like being ultimate champs;[following] a record of 3-7 no one was happy.”
Seniors Arrion Springs, Solomon Hunter, Trae Gardner, Jonathan Taylor, Timmie Johnson, and Dillon Thornton all signed for their schools of choice.
On Friday morning, senior Jeanna Mullen committed to play soccer in a special ceremony. Flanked by her parents and twin sister, Mullen had the support of the entire soccer team as she committed to the University of Texas at El Paso.
“I feel all my hard work has paid off,” Mullen said.
