The varsity swimming team is fighting for their places at region at the district swimming meet at Blossom Athletic Center.
“I’m excited; we’ll see the kids getting their best times and making it to regionals,” Coach Caesie McHenry said.
They will be swimming against Churchill, Johnson, Lee, Reagan, Madison and MacArthur in more than 20 individual and team events.
The team has “improved tremendously” since the beginning of the year and the meet is to be “intense but overall pretty good,” says senior Curtis Roberds.
They will know by tonight whether anyone qualifies for region.
“I think after a long hardworking season, all our hard work will pay off for them,” senior Yesleen Whispell said.
