Wrestling coach Lee Miller worked at Roosevelt for nine years before taking a break in the spring of 2008. He has now returned to coach wrestling and teach art.
Miller has done a little bit of wrestling himself. Miller’s high school coach inspired him to like wrestling very much. Miller also made it a point to say he has seen his old coach’s son and told him, “If your dad was still my coach I would thank him for leading me to amazing career.”

Miller earned a degree in art education at the University of Northern Ohio. Miller and his wife have two daughters: a 17 year old that attends O’Connor high school and five year old. Neither of his daughters are in to wrestling at all.
Miller said it’s sometimes hard to teach wrestling because wrestling is not a big thing in Texas.
“I am proud of how many kids are interested in wrestling,” Miller said.
Miller has been coaching for 20 years and plans to continue his career as a wrestling coach. The wrestling team has their first tournament this weekend in Austin.
