The junior class will deliver their cases of Coca-Cola next week as their latest fundraiser for prom.
Last month they hosted a charity night at Taco Cabana. Student Council came to help.
“We raised over $278 worth of sales and 20 percent of the receipts,” sponsor Leisa Byler said.
After the Coca Cola fundraiser, Byler said they’re looking into candy sales and Auntie Annie’s pretzels.
Byler said the committee is leaning toward an Oscars theme for prom.
“[We have] a lot planned, a lot of fundraising going on, we have decorations already for the theme,” junior class vice president Vickie Albright said. “We have exciting ideas for prom, and we’re hoping seniors will have a good time.”
Albright, Adriana Villegas, Jonathan Wilson comprise the committee, with other students attending occasionally. If you’re wanting to be voted for prom king and queen, or help out with prom, meetings will be on Mondays every week after school at 4:15 p.m. in room E102 with junior class and student council.
