In one of the most anticipated albums of the year, “Nothing was the same,“ Drake takes a look at his new life, and likes what he sees. The release date of the album was set for Sept. 20, but the album leaked almost a week prior to the release date.
This was an exciting third album that the young Canadian rapper Drake created for the world’s amusement. This album has 13 jaw-dropping tracks and two must-hear bonus tracks.
This album was surprising it was a leap from Drake’s last album “Take Care.” He showed his tougher side, probably nothing like you’d expect. The last year Drake has been quiet, and had his fans overwhelmed with excitement for the release of this album.
To no surprise, this is another breathtaking album. The difference between this album and his others is that, Drake is living the life that he wants to live, and the new Drake says things the old Drake would never dream of saying. “I’m livin’ like I’m out here on my last adventure,” Drake says in his song “Tuscan Leather”.
Drake’s tougher side comes out in his song “Worst behavior” with jaw-dropping lyrics that include “My momma probably hear that and be mortified, this ain’t the son you raised.”
Drake is always in the studio recording; in the process of making this album Drake never left the studio. He was determined to make every single second of every single song perfect. “I’m obsessed with perfection. I want to work. I don’t want to take this for granted.”
This album is a must hear. Every track has a meaning to it. Every song describes little bits of Drake’s life “This ain’t every day, I really don’t live some crazy rapper life,” Drake said in his interview with Michael Paterniti.
In the album he tells how he is really feeling despite how others feel. He is telling all for the first time. Because the old Drake is gone, he is tired of being in the dark, as of now, nothing was the same.
