On Oct. 16, North East high schools will administer the Preliminary SAT exam to all 10th and 11th grade students.
“ The PSAT is a standardized practice test for the SAT ,and the PSAT shows where you are and what you need to improve on for the SAT,” counselor Nancy Frase said.
She said there is no pass or fail, what matters is that you do very well and try your hardest to get a good score for college.
Students with some of the highest scores nation wide will be recognized with National Merit status next year.
The school will follow a modified schedule for the PSAT day, with regular classes starting at 12:30.
