Roosevelt’s Varsity Volleyball team beats Lee in last night’s game. With a straight win of 3-0 the Lady Riders demolished Lee in the opener of the second half of districts.
“The energy was energetic and definitely pumped us up,” Varsity Volleyball player Junior Tallora Soriano said. “if we could always have that energy there wouldn’t be a possibility of a team beating us.”
This definitely started a new standard for the Lady Riders going more into districts, only winning 1 game out of the 5 games, in the first half of districts. Varsity Volleyball player Senior Crystal Thomas says they feel like they’ll take them on since they’ll know how to come back.
However this game was not just a normal win for them, Lady Riders have lost all 2nd half of districts to Lee in the past 5 years. “We’ve made history,” Thomas said. “and it feels good making history.”
