The game started out nerve-wracking, but by halftime Roosevelt was feeling good at 35-0; their main focus was on winning the game, and they still had 2 quarters to go. During the halftime show, on top of the nail-biting excitement of the game, the homecoming princesses and princes lined up hand in hand on the south end of the track waiting to see who would be crowned King and Queen.
Jazmin Carmona was crowned Queen.
“I was not expecting that at all,

” she said. She was very excited; she had no idea that she was Roosevelt’s 2013 Homecoming Queen. “I think it is a great privilege and honor to be crowned Queen. It is an amazing way to start my senior year.”
Will Porter was crowned King
“It honestly felt really good to win King; I was not expecting to win,” Porter said. He was very surprised to hear his named called, and he was even more surprised to realize that he was Roosevelt’s 2013 Homecoming King. “I will remember that night forever, because we beat Lee, and I won Homecoming King.”
