Coming off a 22-47 loss at last week’s game against New Braunfels Canyon, the Riders must bounce back for the upcoming game in Austin against Bowie. This will be there first out-of-city game of the season.
“Last week’s game was disappointing; Canyon wasn’t a team we should have lost to,” senior quarterback Jacob Preciado said. “We could have executed more on the passing, and getting into the end zone. When we play against Austin Bowie, it’ll be a close game; scoring back and forth,” Preciado said.
Rough Riders have played three pre-district games so far, with Bowie being the fourth.
“Now we just have to rebound and get back on track, with a solid week of practice and focus on little things,” Head Coach Matt Carroll said. “The competition only gets tougher and tougher, it’ll be foolish to not think of the other schools as competition.”

Rough Riders will play against Austin Bowie on tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Austin.
