As the freshman girls get ready to open in their second game of district against Madison tonight, they have their hopes high for a great season.
“Of course I would love to go undefeated, but my girls are young and inexperienced,” Coach Sandra Murphy said.
She said she wants to strengthen their mindsets for the skill of volleyball. Her main goals are for them to learn their opponents and learn their ways as they get through this season. The freshman volleyball team heads into their second game of district with two wins from their pre district games.Their captain, Tai Sanders has a firm belief that they can do some special things this year.
“Yes, we are new, but we all work as a team and share that same beautiful passion for the sport, we just have to remember to keep trust in each other, and keep our rider pride alive,” Sanders says.

As the team gets ready for their big match tonight they’ve been wo
rking hard and conditioning everyday.“Oh, I absolutely love the sport, and I
have always dreamed of playing high school volleyball. I feel that I could possibly have a future in it, but for now I’m doing what I need to, to win a game,” Lauren Gills said.
