The junior class is voting on their officers this week. These officers will be in charge of leading fundraising initiatives for 2014 prom.
Achieve teacher Liesa Byler is in charge of Junior class meetings for Prom this year. Meetings began September 3, with what Byler described as a low turnout. The next meeting will be Sept. 24 after school in AS134.
“[It’s] very important, because there is a lot of fundraising to do for prom,” Byler said.
At the meetings, juniors will start figuring out what should prom be like, and how to make it fun and memorable for seniors that worked hard to make it to their final year of high school.
“Juniors play an important role for senior prom,” Byler said.
Byler hopes more than 20 students will come to the next meeting to start planning fundraising. For more information, see Byler in AS134 or S102.
