On May 14 Vampire Weekend released their third full-length album titled ‘Modern Vampires of the City,’ an album full of upbeat music but at the same time sending a chill vibe throughout the album as you listen to each song. Vampire Weekend is an indie/alernative rock band who formed in 2006, and originated in New York. This album is a 12-track album that features tracks such as ‘Diane Young’ and ‘Step,’ released months before the album with over 10,000 views before the album came out. High expectations have been set for this album due to the lack of albums released by the band and in my opinion the expectations have been met. This album offers a lot of from a slow song to listen to on a car ride home, to a faster paced song you can listen to and dance. But after all of that, they seem to not sound the same. But this is a good thing in my opinion because they sound a little better and I think everybody should take a listen at some of the songs on the album it could lead to you end up buying the album. The album is available at these retailers: Best Buy, Target, and your local cd retailer.
