Sophomore Ashleigh Askew’s artwork will be featured on the cover of tonight’s Battle of Flowers Band Festival program.
“Its a good feeling, I was shocked,” Askew said, after she had figured out that she won first place in the Art Show.
Askew said she just “thought of an idea” for her poster in the cover contest art show.
Her art poster will be on the cover of many other Battle of Flowers Band Programs. She will also be granted with a cash prize of $200 during the the 75th Anniversary
Band Festival.
“I’m kinda scared and nervous to be seen,” Askew said. She will get the chance to ride in a convertible during the parade of the Band Festival. The Festival is tonight at 7 p.m. at Comalander Stadium.
