This past weekend patriots went to Fort Worth, Texas to compete at their national competition. There were roughly about 340 teams from 11 different states competing with more than 1000 performances.
The Patriots received National Awards in all five routines they competed in. They received third place medium Jazz, third medium Hip Hop, first National Champion Medium Kick, first place National Medium Lyrical, and first National Champion Elite Pom.
“Nationals is a fun experience that everyone should take part of,” senior patriot Zh’chariah Everett said.

“Congratulations to the Patriots Varsity Dance Team for their outstanding performances,” Coach Redding said in her announcement. “For the first time in this competition the Patriots received Nation Title trophies for every performance that we competed in. Looks like all of the hard work paid off! Way to go patriots!”
