Dear AP students, worried about AP testing? Pssh don’t fret it my fellow peers. As we all know the end of the school year is coming up. So that means for us AP students that our AP Test will be right around the corner.
For those non-AP’ers, AP students; at the end of the year, take an Advanced Placement test. If the AP students pass the test, they will get college credit for that class. Now what college credit is, credit for a college class corresponding to the test that you passed. One less class to take and pay for after graduation. This is a great opportunity; if you pass the test you end up saving yourself quite a good sum of money. $500+! All that is required is $17 fee for registration or $8 fee for students in the free/reduced lunch program.
“I’ve been an AP student since I was a freshman, and now Im currently a junior. These AP test that we are provided with should really be taken advantage of. They can save ample amounts of money in the future, in our college life,” Big Stick writer Ethan Castro said.
As for myself; also a fellow AP’er, this is actually my first year taking AP courses. I’m currently a junior. When I first heard about college credit classes I was so ecstatic! Lately I’ve been studying for my English one that is coming up pretty soon, but with our great 11th grade English staff I shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
Oh, for students that are reading this post and are currently are not enrolled in any AP classes, I suggest that you look more into getting into one. If you like a challenge, or you simply just think your regular class is just too easy. I defiantly recommend that you try!
From all of TR’s The Big Stick Newspaper Staff good luck to you AP’ers on your AP tests next month!
