“Love” is the ninth album of the beloved Cloud Cult. Starting originally in 1995 as a solo project, Cloud Cult finally formed into a full eight-person band in 2008. Cloud Cult has been highly marked over the past 15 years, making incredible accomplishments with the success of their albums being placed with big names in indie music like Modest Mouse and Radiohead.
With the new album, the sound of “love” consists of mixed happiness and craziness. It is covered in melodies from lovely sounding cello and acoustic and punched with punk in the electric. Each song has its own flavor to offer with the all-over general topic of love describing feelings all throughout the album. Sweet soft-sounding tunes like “You’re the only thing in your way” and “The Show Starts Now” give the album a softer approach due to most songs being rock and roll upbeat songs like “Complicated Creation” and “The Calling.”
“Love” is available on iTunes and on their website in mp3 and wav format for $9.99 and a physical copy for $12.99.
