Instead of the same old sappy romantic comedies, how about cuddling to a few of these top horrors?
30 Days Of Night: These aren’t those see twinkling vampires you’re use to seeing in ‘Twilight’. This blood sucking horror, released in Oct. 19, 2007, will make you never want to travel to Alaska which undergoes a month in the dark. Within this time, this small town receives some very unfriendly new guests. This movie, directed by David Slade, will surely make chills go down your spine.
IT-Stephen King always leaves us hiding under the covers with his horror books. ‘IT’ is a story about a group of social outcasts who become friends in a suburban neighborhood. This movie, based on the book was released in Nov. 18, 1990, features a creepy killer clown ‘IT’ that stalks, tortures, and creeps these kids out into their adult life. After splitting up and leaving town they are sadly reuntited for a funeral of one of their childhood friends. As soon as they step foot in the town ‘IT’ reminds them of their horrible child hood.
The Strangers-Directed and written by Bryan Bertino and released on May 30, 2008, this thrilling film is about a young couple, staying in a vacation home become terrorized and tortured by some unknown strangers.
Candyman– Released on Sept. 11, 1992 and directed by Bernard Rose, it is about a murdering soul with a hook for a hand. Look in the mirror and say his name three times and he will appear. Try it if you dare.
Freaks-This classic horror, released on Feb. 20, 1932 and directed by Tod Browning is about a trapeze artist who agrees to marry the leader of side-show performers. However, once the performers discover that she is only marrying him for his inheritance and she crosses the line by calling them “freaks” they make is beauty into a “freak” just like them.
