There is still time to donate to Student Council’s Jeans for Teens drive. Student Council teamed up with Aeropostale for Aero’s annual jean drive. Students can donate new or gently used jeans to Room 7101. The jeans will be given to Aeropostale, and Aeropostale will give them to needy children or donate them to runaway shelters or families who cant afford jeans. As an incentive, students receive 25 percent off their next purchase at Aeropostale.
Senior, Carlos Bustos works at Aeropostale at North Star Mall and came up to Stu. Co. President Ben Pelayo and asked Ben to publicize the jean drive that Aeropostale is having.
So far Stu. Co. only has seven donations of jeans, but they’re expecting to get at least 30 pairs of jeans for the drive.
“I like this jean drive because we get to help people our age and teenagers that aren’t blessed with things we have, ” Pelayo said.
The drive ends after school today.
