The weather is dropping and leaves are now falling, this can mean two things: winter is coming or a new installment to the Call of Duty franchise is on its way.
Since 2007, the creators of Call of Duty (Infinity Ward and Treyarch) have been releasing a new Call of Duty each year. Although Infinity Ward and Treyarch are different companies they both work with making and releasing the Call of Duties. The Call of Duty franchise has six installments which three have been made by Infinity Ward and three made by Treyarh.
This upcoming Call of Duty (Black Ops 2) is based on the previous Call of Duty created by Treyarch. Black Ops 2 is a sequel to Black Ops but takes place 65 years later in the year 2025. Although with the year takes place in 2025 Treyarch didn’t over do it with high-tech weapons like lasers and space cliches. If Treyarh had used hi-tech weaponry it wouldn’t seem much like a Call of Duty game it would have a more “Halo” layout. The co-op zombie mode in Black Ops was a huge favorite for Call of Duty fans and in Black Ops 2 Treyarch will still be including the zombie mode but with new features and new weapons.
Finally after months of trailers and teasing Nov. 13 is slowly coming around and Black Ops 2 will be released. Like every other Call of Duty there most likely will be a midnight release where Call of Duty fans would camp out in front of stores waiting to be the first to get their hands on this popular first person shooter.
