Every year, in the first full week of November, our HOSA members celebrate HOSA week.
“HOSA week went awesome. Many kids came to support us. We had helicopter on the football field and also EMS vehicles,” sponsor Deborah Ramirez said.
Each day has its own event: Monday was Medical Monday when they gave medical facts; Tuesday was EMT Tuesday, when paramedics came to campus; Wednesday was Health Profession Wednesday, when students dressed up in medical clothes; Thursday was Thank you Nurse Day; when students wrote thank you notes to our nurses, and Friday was Healthy Friday, when students practiced healthy habits. HOSA also does health academic challenges like medical terminology, and skill challenges like physical therapy and nurses aid.
