Junior Trisha Guerrero got to Speak at St. Mary’s about being part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. She was even on the news.
“It was nerve-wracking, going up there and talk to everyone,” Guerrero said.

Guerrero always thought it would be fun to have someone there, like a mentor, so she signed up at her middle school, Ed White; in her eighth grade year. She got interviewed for her Big Sister her freshman year of high school. She was paired with Annie Vu at Rackspace. Her favorite thing to do with her big sister is going places and they are even planning on going to visit colleges.
“She helped me get through struggles, and helped me decide to go to college,” Guerrero said.
Trisha said the most fun thing they did is when they went to Annie’s house and they cooked pasta and baked brownies. She said that she loves that she always has someone there for her. She encourages everyone to sign up and join Big Brothers and Big Sisters, just for someone to be there for you or you, yourself could be there for someone.
