The Script is an Irish rock band that released their new album -“3” on Oct. 9. Their first album “The Script” was released in 2005 with their hit songs,”The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” and “Breakeven.” “Science and Faith,” their second album in September of 2010 featured the songs “For the First Time” and “Nothing.” “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” was used in the “Victoria’s secret fashion show” in 2009. Many of their songs have been used in “The Vampire Diaries,” “Ghost Whisper,” and “90210.”
The band is composed of Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan, and Glen Power. O’Donoghue is a singer-songwriter, Sheehan is also a singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer,while Power is the drummer and vocalist of the band. Their second album”Science and Faith” was number one in Ireland and the United Kingdom and number three on the “Billboard 200”. In July 2011, they had their official biggest crowd with a sold out crowd of 50,000 people on Aviva Stadium on Dublin. Some people would think that The Script kind of sounds like “The Fray” because of the pop-rock sound. The instruments “The Script” uses are keyboard, guitar, and the drummer.
Their new album #3 was released on UK on Sept. 10,while in the United States their album was in iTunes on Tuesday of last week. The album CD cost $14.98 on Walmart, while online is $11.88 on iTunes,and $12.99 for deluxe version. Their new album is different from the others, because the others album were raggae like.The song “Hall of Fame” features with will.i.am.
The Script will return to have a tour with North America. While unfortunately they won’t come to San Antonio, they will be in Houston on Tuesday Oct. 30 at the Bayou Music Center, and on Monday Oct. 29 in Dallas at the House of Blues.
