Ed White Middle School will be the hosting site for a 5k run/jog/walk on May 12. Although the registration period has passed, organizers encourage the community to come out and cheer for the participants as well as submit donations for this non-profit event. Among the cheerleaders will be the Dallas Cowboys mascot Rowdy.
The course will begin at Ed White MS located at 7800 Midcrown, procede through the surrounding neighborhood, and end at the school’s 4th annual Eagle Fest celebration. For more information or to inquire about volunteering, visit http://www.neisd.net/white/wellness or call (210) 650-1400, ext. 222.
City Year will be hosting their Slam Dunk Legacy Project at the festival which will include a renovation of the Ed White’s basketball and tennis courts.
