Have you ever been so stressed to the point you can’t even function anymore, meaning the non ability of being able to relax, enjoy the free time you get, study, do simple tasks such as text messaging without messing up like 20 times?
Well, studies show stress can lead to bad habits, but don’t worry because there is a way you can fight it in these steps. To get away from the possibility of unhealthy eating, smoking, drinking, and spending problems, the first thing you need to do is make sure you take things easy and do things one at a time. Not overloading yourself can save you from tons of stress and keep your mind more free and open. It maynot be something that can sink in easy, but just takes practice and time to get use to in regards to deciding what needs to be done now and what could wait for later.
Removing distracting things such as e-mails and phone calls can help a lot, but most likely you should keep your phone free when you’re not in the middle of something that requires attention.
If you’re worried that chilling out your schedule isn’t enough for you to be more stress relieved than don’t worry, there are many more ways you can relieve stress. First off, stress can hit you in many ways and complicate your life beyond then what you need, so keep that in mind. With that being said, you need to simplify your schedule to help with the wait of stressful things that can happen like your computer breaking, your flight out of town being delayed, and the most common – your car breaking down.
Once you get you’re more important plans set in the calendar and forgetting about non-important things, you can sometimes find yourself in a hectic schedule that it’s hard to get out and the stress can be unrelenting. Meetings that are not beneficial can be replaced with exercising which is another great stress reliever. If you ask me, what’s a better way than starting the day with a good job in your neighborhood while watching the sunrise.
Workouts don’t have to be grueling to relieve stress, there’s Yoga, playing sports you like, and just moving around. Be sure to have fun while you’re doing what it is you chose.
Getting creative help can find ways to make exercise more fun. Listening to music and sketching something or writing stories or even plays will help big time. While in our time spent at work, things around the house can start to clutter around and stack up. All you need is to take 20-30 minutes to clean up your room. Studies show that just walking around your room cleaning things and finding something you almost forgot about can take your mind off stress and reduce it in the process. You’ll end up with a cleaner room as long as you don’t get too carried away with the stuff you’ll find.
Now, the last step I can give that I believe will help you a lot is being early. Usually being on time is good enough and doesn’t run into many problems in life, but in reality at school or work, you can get behind and not realize it. In the unpredictable world we live in getting places around 30 minutes should be like your back-up plan just in case you ever get something urgent. You never know what can happen, and it could just be time to spend with some friends which is always helpful in trying to get away from stress.
