Lady Riders Softball Enter Postseason Play

April 20, 2012

The Roosevelt Lady Riders softball team defeated the Reagan Lady Rattlers 20-3 last Tuesday for the right to make an appearance in the postseason Class 5A softball tournament.
The Lady Riders will play the New Braunfels Lady Unicorns on April 27 at 7p.m. According to Mysa.com, the game will be played at SCUCISD Field in Schertz. The Lady Riders posted four previous wins in district play by sweeping MacArthur and Lee in the regular season. Roosevelt is coached by Alicia Pierucci.
The North East Independent School District will also be represented in the playoffs by Churchill, Johnson, and Madison.
Good luck to all participants on their quest for a state championship.
