The NBA playoffs are just around the corner and teams are fighting over a spot in the playoffs and a seed in the playoffs. The western conference with the 10 teams who are with 10 teams who are with records of .500 and East with only six team .500. The last 13 NBA champions , 10 of them were from the western coference. The Western conference having Spurs win 4, Lakers 5, and Mavericks 1, and the East with Detroit, Miami and Boston each winning 1.
The western conference has been dominated this season by the Thunder but the last three months have been dominated by the Spurs who have have 2 double digit game streaks. The Spurs have taken sole position of 1st place in the west, the first two seeds are locked down by the Spurs and the Thunder. The West is strong and has 10 teams that can contend and make a run in playoffs unfortunatly only 8 can go, the Lakers are wanting another tittle and young hungry Clippers are hungry for one and ready to take the next step in their franchise and make a run in playoffs. The Rockets and Grizzlies are both young teams that are sleepers and under the radar both can be dangerous in playoffs. The western conference is up for grabs any other team can make a run in west thats how strong it is.
The eastern conference has been dominated by Bulls and Heat the two teams that played in 2011 conference finals, this season Boston who was a contender has gone down like a slide in the standings being the 6th seed because of older players. The Magic and Knicks both drama filled teams not living up to the hype that media has brought them. The young teams are ready to contend might make a run especially the Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana being a third seed in the east and quiet Atlanta Hawks just under the radar they can be dangerous also.
The western conference is the hardest conference to pick an actual NBA champion because of the strong teams in the west Western conference is like a college basketball bracket 8th seed can upset 1 seed ay can happen. The East is mainly dominated by Bulls and Heat, there are young teams that can compete with them but are not experienced enough to beat the Bulls and defending eastern conference champions Heat. The western conference playoffs will be an exciting conference to watch especially with all the strong teams in the West and also with the East, playoffs are just around the corner it will be here before you know it.
