With Valentine’s Day approaching on Feb. 14, several Rough Riders are preparing to find their Valentine or to go on the perfect date.
“A perfect Valentine’s Day date would be to surprise her with roses, balloons, candy, and a big Teddy bear, when she least expects it. It will be really romantic to take her to a favorite restaurant, look at her in the eyes, and under the candlelight tell her – I love you,” Angel Marquez, senior, said.
While Marquez is relaxed about Valentine’s Day, sophomore Wendy Gonzalez, would like something more exciting and adventurous this year.
“A perfect Valentine’s Day date for me would be go-cart racing, rock climbing, or something else fun and unique that we can both remember when we’re old,” Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez prefers casual environments, while junior Ahmed Salama has his Valentine’s Day experience planned out.
“My perfect date would be to take her to the movies and then out to eat. Then, drive down to South Padre (Island) with a picnic basket to watch the sunset together,” Salama said.
By the looks of it, Rough Riders have different ideas of the perfect date for Valentine’s Day. Let’s hope everyone can just be able to spend it with that special someone.
