What if someone’s birthday comes every four years? This is the case if a person is a leap year baby born on Feb. 29 and it is a big deal to them.
“I wouldn’t mind having my birthday that day as long as I still get cake and presents the rest of the other years (in between),” Lynn Barreteona, freshman, said.
Some students would feel special as a leap year baby, like they were one of a kind. Afterall, very few people can claim their birthday falls on this extraordinary date and they share the honor with only a few others.
“I would feel so lucky and feel like I was one of a kind to have my birthday on the 29th,” Dani Briseno, D.A.T.A. freshman, said.
However, other students actually do mind the idea of having to wait four years for a birthday and think it would be annoying.
“I would be confused and so would my friends, they’ll think I’m a liar (if I told them that was my birthday),” Boyd Spaulding, D.A.T.A. freshman, said.
Above all, if you do or don’t have a birthday on Feb. 29. Make the most of your birthday and celebrate it in style with the ones you love.
