At Roosevelt High School, sports is a major thing and many of the teams have had an awesome year so far. The Roosevelt swim team is currently competing and hopes for a successful conclusion to their swimming and diving season.
“I am very confident with my team this year, we have a lot of returning varsity swimmers from last year, my champ swimmers, and they have set dedication and have tried their hardest to improve, making it to practice isn’t easy, especially not with this cold weather but they have stuck to it and made it work to make this a memorable year so far.” Coach Caesie Mchenry, said.
It seems as if the positivity of the coach rubs off on the athletes.
“I am very excited to swim his year, swimming is my life, we haven’t done a lot of big meets but as soon as they come, we will be ready, we are prepared to give it our all and make sure we remember 2012 for our biggest accomplishments and not for the end of the world,” Mayela Garcia, junior, said.
By the looks of it, the whole team is on the same page and ready to dominate the other schools.
“I know we have awesome swimmers and no matter what we are coming out of all those meets with our heads held high and make sure this year is one to remember,” Travis Franke, junior, said.
Looks like the Roosevelt Swim Team came out with a little spark this year, they are ready to get in that water and swim like there is no tomorrow. Most people on campus agree that this year will most definetly be a great year for our swimmers.
