Why is technology so important to us? Why and where is it used the most? Well, let’s check out what Roosevelt students had to say about the subject.
Junior Alexus O’Neal has certain technology pieces she can’t live without.
“My iPod, I have around all the time because I love music,” O’Neal said.
The majority of teens own iPods or know someone who does. The ones that don’t have at least an MP3 or compact disc player.
“I got my first iPod in the seventh grade,” O’Neal said.
Students are truly young when they get their first technology gadget. Freshman Alex Myles can’t live without another form of technology.
“My phone and my iPod because without my phone I can’t talk and without an iPod I can’t listen to the music that I enjoy so much,” Myles said.
O’Neal said getting her iPod was one of her most memorable gifts she has ever received, and gave her mother credit for making it possible.
Sophomore Deja Williams agrees that having a phone with all its applications is a nice thing to have around, but added something else to his list of must have technology.
“My cell phone and then my laptop because they keep me occupied and socialable,” Williams said.
“I got my first cell phone at age nine.”
Three people with similar and different technology pieces all agree that technology can bring a lot of improvements to the daily lives of teenagers everywhere.
