The semester finals testing periods are coming to a close. Students are mostly thrilled about that fact and they don’t have to worry about another round of finals until next semester.
For the upcoming freshmen, this is new stuff. Back in middle school, those freshmen didn’t have to take finals quite like the ones they do now in high school.
Preceding the finals, The Big Stick newspaper asked students about how they feel approaching the time of their finals and their responses were unique.
“I’m just ready to take these exams and go on break already,” Jamie Roberts, freshman, said.
Students may have seemed eager to take the exams, but that’s because they were ready to take it and get it over with.
“I’m actually looking forward to taking the exams and trying to get my grade higher,” Sierra Belmares, freshman, said.
Finals can be scary for some students. They get weak in the knees and panic thinking they might fail the test and then the course.
“I’m scared to take my exams because I always over think it,” Mia Badillo said.
Despite the stress involved in taking and completing the finals tests, most students were able to finish the semester strong by studying night and day to be totally ready. Now, it’s time to make the most of the holiday break and reflect on a memorable first semester of the school year.
