TEENS REFLECT ON CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

For our parents, their oldies are stuff like “Sailor Moon”, the Beatles musical group, or “The Smurfs”. Teenagers in modern times considered the word oldies applicable to stuff like “Hey Arnold” and “Cavillou”.
Many of us teenagers grew up in different environments watching different shows. Leaving the mind to wonder what shows Rough Riders were watching when they were little.
“The Proud Family’ because it was different from other cartoons at the time and “TRL” because I loved anything that had to do with music,” Wendy Gonzalez, sophomore, said.
Students have many different perspectives on their childhood day entertainment. Many young people learned a great deal of things from those early year educational shows without realizing it.
“I really liked “Sesame Street” and “Between The Lions”, I would learn a new letter and number everyday, sometimes a whole word,” Nick Vasquez, junior, said.
As some watched shows that educated, others just watched television for real entertainment.
“I used to love “Tom and Jerry”, they wouldn’t say anything, but I knew what they were thinking,” Josh Alva, sophomore, said.
As noticiable as it is everyone was a soft kid when they were little, even the toughest Rough Riders have a soft spot for childhood memories.
