Most famous deaths so far in 2011 are actors, musicians, and notable people we mourn the passing of. How well do you cope with death?
One very recent death was Cliff Robertson, best known to modern audiences as Uncle Ben from the “Spider-Man” films, died just one day after his 88th birthday on Sept. 10. One most recent death was the creator of the “Doritos” chips, in Dallas at age 97, he died on Sept. 27 at Presbyterian Hospital.
“Well I honestly don’t know how I’d deal with death because thankfully I haven’t has anyone close die, but I’m sure it takes a lot to be strong,” Araceli Escamilla, junior, said.
Unlike Araceli, Jocelyn has had deaths in her family, someone very special too.
“Well in seventh grade my dad died and it really truly did suck, I don’t wish a loss to no one, not even those I don’t like.” Jocelyn Morales, junior, said.
While Morales’s dad goes to a better place, Celeste’s stepdad has a loss and he does not cope very well.
“My stepdad’s grandma passed away and since he is a truck driver he left to ‘work’ and he wouldn’t answer his phone and didn’t come home for two months,” Celeste Hernandez, freshman, said.
As some people don’t deal with deaths very well, others become mutual and are happy their loved ones are in a better place. Death is something that is not easily accepted but to those who have had a loss, best condolences and may they rest in peace.
