Members of student clubs and organizations are full steam ahead according to sponsors. Students are planning and participating in every event you can think of.
The Lady Riders volleyball team is looking to take two more wins in the next week playing against Madison, on Sept. 16, and Johnson on Sept. 20. Next, we have our Rough Rider football team, who is trying to pick up their first win of the season against the 0-3 Round Rock Dragons on Sept. 18 in Round Rock.
“Friday’s game (against Round Rock) should be a good game, hopefully we get out first win,” Joaquin Velaquez said.
Third, we have our homecoming, student council is working very hard to prepare for the big event on Oct. 1.
“I can’t wait for homecoming, it’s hopefully going to be a night I will remember my whole life,” Jasmine Briers, said.
Fourth, we have yearbook sales, if you’d like to purchase a yearbook for only $50, then you need to order it before Sept. 30.
“Being a senior, ordering a year book is definatily on my to-do list,” Kiara Ross said.
Lastly we have, National Night Out, which is scheduled for oct. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. Members of the community can come enjoy food, music, games, student performances, and much more.
Roosevelt students are encouraged to ask parents, teachers, students, and all family members to come out meet new people and have a great time at all these events.
