My biggest drawback of beginning my senior year is the inevitable stress that will accompany it. Staying on track with my studies is a difficulty of mine and I have a lamentable tendency to tire at home before I complete (or start, for that matter) my homework. Stress should be eradicated and hopefully will wither away to a wallowing minimum this year.
Along with lowering my stress, I’d like to raise my grades (who wouldn’t?). My grades the second semester of last year faltered; I failed the second half of pre-ap chemistry and most of my other class grades were disappointing low. Grades like that dishearten me, and I’d like to keep an A/B average, realistically.
Lastly, and speaking of disheartening, I’d like to keep my self-esteem up. Tough goal, surely, and much more complex and ever-present an issue than school problems, but at least a tangible one. Certainly a high SAT score and college entry would help my cause.
