As a new year for Rough Riders begins, Voleyball is on “fire” according to their loyal fans in the stands. How well or confident do our ladies feel about the team this year?
As the Rough Riders Volleyball Varsity girls won a close game against Wagner, scoring 26-24 and the Junior Varsity being 7 and 0, Rough Rider pride is soaring high this year. Looks like our Lady Riders have stepped up their game to make this a memorable year.
“I feel very confident in this team, I’ve made some adjustments as a coach but the team has bought into it 100%, they’re change in attitude basically says ‘we’re here’ and they have been pretty moldable.” Volleyball Coach Rodney Vigil said.
Looks like Coach Vigil is very confident and proud of the team this year as well as the team captain Maddy Flores.
“I feel very confident and proud of the Volleyball team this year, not just Varsity but also JV, having won fourteen out of fifteen games so far is really good but we’re all a team and we are most definetly working hard to make it to the top.” Maddy Flores, junior, said.
Besides Coach Vigil and the team captain Flores, our Lady Rider fans also feel very confident with the team this year.
“I think they have played really good, I’ve gone to only like three games and they won all three and it looked like they really gave it their all.” Adrian Arredondo, junior, said.
It is very clear that Lady Rider Volleyball, both Junior Varsity and Varsity, have had positive attitudes, disciplined behavior, respect for their coach and have really put in their all to make it an exciting and memorable year.
