Spring Break is right around the corner and many are excited for this one week of no school work and tons of fun. Students at Roosevelt are excited about the opportunity to have some rest and relaxation from March 14-18.
Students were asked what their plans are for spring break and were asked why they like the time off.
“I think I’m going to Six Flags and spend it with my best friend and boyfriend,” Liliana Garza, sophomore, said.
Six Flags is one of the most popular places for students to go during spring break. It offers many rides that make it an interesting destination for teenagers.
“I’m trying to find employment over spring break and I’m still searching,” Scarlett Snodgrass, junior, said.
Snodgrass hopes spring break will give her employment which will mean an opportunity to have more independence.
Many students are trying to find employment like Snodgrass. Finding a job is top priority for them during the break.
Some students are undecided as to what their plans are while others no without a doubt where the road will take them.
“I’m probably going out of town,” Brianna Falcon, freshman, said.
Falcon didn’t specify exactly where she is going, but a getaway is a welcomed thing for many teenagers.
Traveling is one of the most common things, Rough Riders will do over spring break. Some will seek the warmth of the beaches of Corpus Christi and Port Aransas while others will go to a nearby water recreational area such as Canyon Lake.
So many students are ready for spring break. It’s time to relax and chill.
This spring break should be a great one for family get togethers, going to the beach, or just hanging out with friends close to you.
