In America, children and people in general have the choice to become what they please and there are many professions to pursue. A profession requires knowledge of some aspect of learning which might include but it not limited to science, social studies, math, visual art, mechanics, technology and language arts.
“I’m glad we choose what we want to become instead of having no choice,” Estefania Manzo, freshmen, said.
Parents pressure their children to become the best they can be, and they only do that because they love their family and want the best.
“It’s tiring trying to be the best and I know my parents love me, but it’s hard,” Kirson Barnes, Madison High School freshmen, said.
Traditionally, there were only three professions in the past: divinity, medicine, and law. In the 20th and 21st centuries, more professions were available to choose from.
“I think no matter how many professions are made. I will always have some that are my personal favorites,” DeAsia Donyea, freshmen, said.
Donyea didn’t clarify which professions were preferred, but most students seem to like work that has the elements of fun, adventure, and of course a good salary. In modern times, there are many professions a high school student can pursue. It’s a good idea to talk to a career counselor to see what direction might be right for you.
