The season of spring officially begins on March 20 and new teenage styles are on their way as fashion designers scrabble to discover the latest trends. Seems like the spring trend alert for teen spirit this year is frayed tops, scribbled-on denim, and rebellious add-ons.
Some sequenced lace embroidered dresses, cotton shirts, and satchels will also provide a nice look for spring.
“My clothes define me, because most of the time I dress nice but, like today, I just threw something on,” Jordan Cooper, freshman, said.
While Cooper admits to just throwing on the first thing she sees, sophomore Jocelyn Morales has her own style.
“I have never been one to follow the crowd, I think I’l stick to my own style which truly defines me,” Morales said.
Morales believes in being an independent when it comes to fashion, a belief shared by other students at Roosevelt as well.
“I will do what I want and wear what I want, and if I look the same as someone else I can’t really prevent that,” Christopher Montalvo, sophomore, said.
Looks like everyone is joining in on the spring trends and have their own taste even if it does end up like someone else’s choice of style as well. Well, we’ll just have to wait to see what fashions teenagers wear proudly in the spring.
