Gilberto Hernandez, or as we all know him, Mr. Hernandez, is a Geometry teacher. He is a man who served for America and now works for NEISD.
Hernandez grew up in Mexico and lived there for five years.
“I grew up poor but I did not feel it,” Hernandez said. “We had enough to sustain ourselves.”
Hernandez then came to College Station, Texas, which is known for its university Texas A&M.
In 1996, Hernandez graduated from A&M Consolidated High School. Once he graduated high school, he went to Texas A&M. He got a degree in history.
Hernandez also went into the military; he was a Marine. He did 10 years of active duty and 2 years reserved. Due to all the bouncing & carrying of a 70 pound backpack, Hernandez developed a neck condition.Due to his neck condition, he is 50 percent disabled by the force. After the Marines, Hernandez started to teach in 2014. He now serves as a teacher.
