The auditions for American Idol just ended, kicking off a new season for the world renown Fox television show. The show made a few lineup changes too.
This is the first season of the show without Simon Cowell. He was known as the judge with a bad attitude, and for putting people down. Cowell has moved on to a new show called the “X Factor”. Some people loved him, some people didn’t. Some people just hate the show in general.
People who decide to tune in will be watching the latest additions to the show: Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. Randy Jackson, who has been with the show since season no. 1 is still evaluating musical talent looking for the next big thing and giving his honest opinions along the way.
“American Idol is a mochery,” Madison High School sophmore Samantha Selman said. “It is over played and must be stopped.”
Some people don’t care that Cowell left, they just want the show to be done. Then again, people who love and support the show, have a little bit more positive opinion.
“Well I think the show will last without Simon,” Wood Middle School Eighth Grader Reba Elben said. “But, it won’t be as popular.”
So really, the future is a bit murky without Simon there according to most, but one thing is for sure. American Idol will bring us a star, with or without the angry one.
